Dr. Lawrence is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthodontics and the American Board of Orofacial Pain. He is one of only two orthodontists in the country to hold this dual board certification!
Dr. Lawrence opened his private practice in Mentor in 1992 and moved to the present Mentor Avenue location in 1995.
Since 1999, Dr. Lawrence has been actively involved in orthodontic education as a Professor at Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Lawrence is also the director of the Orofacial Pain Clinic in the Orthodontic Department, and has been awarded the Professor of the Year.
In 2010, Dr. Lawrence was named Consultant to the Division of Plastic Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic. He is a member of the Clinic’s Craniofacial Team which evaluates and treats children and adolescents born with facial and jaw irregularities, most notably cleft lip and palate.
In 2011, Dr. Lawrence introduced his invention, the OralEnlight™. This device will help orthodontists provide better care to their patients, improving the orthodontic experience for patients, parents, and providers.
In 2013, Dr. Lawrence was named the Director of the Early Orthodontic Treatment Clinic at the Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine.
Formerly, Dr. Lawrence was the Orthodontist for Craniofacial Anomaly Clinic of the Lake County Health District, which served Lake, Geauga and Ashtabula counties until the clinic was discontinued in favor of the large hospital craniofacial teams.
Dr. Lawrence received his B.A. and D.D.S. degrees from Case Western Reserve University. He completed his orthodontics residency at Loyola University of Chicago and completed a residency in Clinical Management of Temporomandibular Disorders and Related Orofacial Pain from the world-renowned Orofacial Pain Center of the University of Kentucky.
Outside of the office, Dr. Lawrence enjoys spending time with his wife and two children!
Will has worked at Dr. Lawrence's office for over 13 years. He has also known Dr. Lawrence for more than 20 years.
His smile is a result of the spectacular work that Dr. Lawrence has performed for many years! Will does all the lab work that is needed for your treatment. From the expanders to the retainers- Will can do it all!
While not working, Will enjoys working on cars and playing fetch with Aldan, his Husky.
Debra has worked in dentistry for over 30 years. She attended Case Western Reserve University where she earned her EFDA (Expanded Functions Dental Auxillary) certification. She has been with Dr. Lawrence for over 11 years as the Treatment Coordinator.
Debra thinks Dr. Lawrence is the best orthodontist on the planet! Debra also host's our "School Talk" presentations about dental care and oral health on behalf of our office for elementary schools in our community.
In her spare time, Deb loves photography, singing and playing bells in her church choir and playing recorder in her band.
Denise has over 34 years of orthodontic experience and loves helping Dr. Lawrence create beautiful smiles! She is the Clinical Coordinator for the office. She is also a Certified Orthodontic Assistant (COA) with her Coronal Polishing License (CP).
Denise has been married for 32 years. She has 3 grown children and 2 grand kids. The family loves to travel and Whoobee, her dog, goes everywhere they go.
Karryl has worked in orthodontics for over 14years. She has found orthodontics to be a career that is very rewarding and enjoys the ongoing education that the field has to offer. Certified Orthodontic assistant and in Coronal polishing.
Karryl has a green thumb and does the landscaping and gardening all around our office.
When at home she enjoys cooking, gardening, Bible study and crafting. She has a loving husband, 2 grown children, 5 grandkids and 1 dog.

Amanda started out her career as an orthodontic assistant in 1997. She later attended Lakeland Community College Dental Hygiene Program, graduating in 2004 as Class President.
After practicing Dental Hygiene for over 10 years, she knew her passion was in Orthodontics. What better place to work than Dr. Lawrence's?!
When not at the office, Amanda enjoys traveling, outdoor activities and spending time with her 2 children, Josie and John Paul
Fun Fact: Amanda was also a pastry chef and has appeared on 2 episodes of Cupcake Wars!
Rick is the Community Relations Coordinator here at the office. Rick's current role is concentrating on building strong relationships with our area dentist offices to ensure our patients get the best in coordinated dental care!
Rick attended John Carroll University and majored in Communications and minored in Business. He additionally has his Masters in Elementary Education, also from JCU.
Rick has over 15 years in Marketing and Sales. He's worked with various companies such as The Cleveland Cavs, The Cleveland Indians, and The Jacob's Group.
Rick's hobbies include coaching youth baseball and softball, reading, music, hiking, and spending time with his family.
Bess is the Scheduling Coordinator/ Administrative Assistant in our office. Bess has over 20 years of administrative experience and really enjoys helping others. Fun fact- Bess was a patient of Dr. Lawrence several years ago and remains extremely happy with the smile she has thanks to Dr. Lawrence! Bess is the mother of two young men and enjoys spending as much time as she can with them. She also enjoys swimming, boating and roller coasters!
